About the Wedding
This is a very unique wedding, as it represents the union of two people who share the extraordinary desire to do a three year retreat alone with each other, in complete silence. The location for this retreat is already set: a nice little plot of land in the Arizona desert, far from the sounds of the bustling world. What is missing is a safe, comfortable, well insulated building in which to do the retreat.
The retreat itself is starting at the end of 2010, and the retreat cabin is, as of yet, non-existent. Jessica and Stéphane need a great deal of help, quickly, in order to get their dream retreat home built. There are many ways to help. Perhaps the easiest, and most simple, is not to buy them more stuff for their wedding! Instead, consider a monetary investment in the construction and/or upkeep and supply of their retreat cabin. Any amount is helpful and everything is greatly appreciated. Other ways to help would be to put Jessica and Stéphane in touch with skilled laborers willing to work and live in the desert, skilled architects, and contractors licensed to work in Arizona. You can also help by donating in kind if you have access to construction materials or similar things.
Keep in mind that this type of help is the marriage gift that would bring the most joy to Jessica and Stéphane. It would also result in something that they both remember and cherish for quite some time, as it will be where and how they live for at least three years. !

A propos du mariage
Ceci est un mariage unique car il représente l’union de deux personnes qui ont, entre autres, le vif désir de partager trois ans de retraite ensemble, et ce dans un silence complet. Le lieu de cette retraite est déjà établi: un petit coin du désert de l’Arizona, loin du bruit de la vie quotidienne. Ce qu’il y manque c’est un châlet suffisamment confortable, isolé des éléments et adéquat pour y faire une retraite.
La retraite elle-même commence fin 2010, et le châlet est, pour l’instant, non-existant. Jessica et Stéphane ont donc grand besoin de votre aide, et rapidement, pour pouvoir construire ce châlet. Plusieurs façons de les aider existent. Peut-être le plus facile, et le plus simple, est de ne pas leur offrir un objet suplémentaire comme cadeau de mariage! A la place, considérer un investissement monétaire dans la construction, le maintien et/ou l’approvisionnement de leur châlet. Peu importe le montant, chaque participation est grandement appréciée. D’autres façons d’aider serait de mettre Jessica et Stéphane en contact avec des maneuvres qualifiés qui seraient volontaires pour vivre et travailler pour un temps dans le désert, ou avec des architectes et des entrepreneurs pouvant légalement travailler en Arizona. Vous pouvez aussi aider en offrant, si vous y avez accès, des matériaux de construction ou choses similaires.
Ce qu’il faut retenir c’est que cette aide apportera la plusgrande joie à Jessica et Stéphane. Le résultat sera quelque chose dont tout les deux se souviendront et apprécieront longtemps, au moins cela sera une chose avec laquelle ils vivront au quotidien pour au moins trois ans.
